I decided to do a 10 km short-distance test to assess the uncertainties such as load weight, route profile, traffic conditions and exclude weather conditions. Before assembling the ECOPower Fuel Saver, the route profile was checked for the first time by the permanent driver of the truck and me as a driven passenger.
The fuel consumption when "gauging" without Fuel Saver was 1.96 liters, after which the manufacturer recommended driving about 4000 km with the ECOPower Fuel Saver in the tank so that the engine was "cleaned" (engine compartment cleaned of deposits).
The second short-haul test with the same route profile was carried out 3 weeks later under the same weather conditions with "ECOPower Fuel Saver" and resulted in a consumption of 1.56 liters per 10km. The diesel consumption was reduced by 20% compared to the first trip. When filling the tank, it is important to proceed carefully and calmly until pure diesel becomes visible at the filler neck. It takes some time and exact comparison results are only achieved if there are no air pockets.
